Exploring the Education Inspection Framework

Managing your Ofsted Inspection

(2019)

Member price: £14.00

Standard price: £20.00

Ref. T202

Ofsted’s inspection processes focus particularly on how well the provider meets the needs of the range of children who attend, how they contribute to children’s well‑being, and the leadership and management of the provision. In addition, attention is paid to how well provision meets the needs of particular groups of children, including funded two‑year‑olds, those children eligible for early years pupil premium, children with English as an additional language and looked after children.

The new Alliance SMARTpd resource pack Managing your Ofsted Inspection provides online resources for a manager or team leader to deliver an in‑house session on preparing for an Ofsted Inspection. It aims to provide all early years staff and volunteers with an overview of the Ofsted inspection framework and to help them prepare for inspection. It should help to empower everyone to feel confident in taking part, and to better understand the inspection process.

Containing a Microsoft PowerPoint Presentation, with facilitator notes, it will support the host to deliver the session at staff meetings or training days. It provides a cost effective way to prompt discussion, increase understanding and raise awareness in the team about the importance of identifying and supporting young children through critical elements of transition, as well as assist with action planning for improved practice in this important area.
